The FIRST ALERT SEVERE WEATHER DAY continues throughout this holiday weekend as severe storms are expected to sweep across our region.
With this being Memorial Day Weekend, many people will be traveling and may become unplugged from many devices. It also may be that many people go to areas where there isn’t good cell service either. So, make sure to get updated now on the severe weather possibilities.
Starting out Saturday we will have mostly dry conditions with some isolated rain chances around and mild temperatures. Then as we head into the afternoon some more thunderstorms could pop up across our region, with some possibly growing to become strong, but severity at this time remains relatively low for those.
Going into Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday morning is the greatest risk for severe weather. A large complex of storms will be sweeping across our region bringing heavy rain, very strong winds, and the possibility of tornadoes. Most people will be seeing the strong winds associated with the storms.
Also, keep in your mind the possibility of flooding in some areas due to all of the rain we have already seen this past week.
As always, you can trust the First Alert Weather team to keep you up to date with the latest developments.
