A Pro Gun And Anti-Bump Stock Voice

Growing up in a home where rifles and shotguns hung on the walls of the house and from the window of our Ram Truck, I am certainly not anti-gun. The Community looked a lot different back then compared to today. It was all about hunting and self-defense. There was no such thing as target shooting unless you count shooting at some empty beer bottles on a fence.

Now fast forward to today and the militarization of the gun community has taken an ominous turn. The NRA has become a ghost of its once self. Now they are just working for gun manufacturers and make believe they are with the people. and his leadership of the NRA took a dark turn down a sleazy alley of common sense obstruction. He has personally stood in the way of sensible regulation of guns at every turn. In my opinion, he is one creepy dude. The man is just slimy and the NRA has lost its way.

Most gun owners in the nation support regulations like background checks, closing the gun show loophole and ending the wild wild west of online sales. However, the NRA stands in the way of every single attempt to regulate guns sensibly. Now once again, here we are, at the crossroads of another collective decision when it comes to what kind of nation we want to live in. Two weeks ago most people had never even heard of a “bump stock” and now it is a household word.

Under the Obama Administration, the ATF ruled that bump stocks were legal because it did not physically alter the firearm. Now we all know this was a prodigious mistake on a grand scale. The bump stock is just a way to get around the law that says we cannot own fully automatic weapons like our military has. We have to make this product illegal, ban them and confiscate them all. We need the NRA to be a leader in this regard because its first response to this was stereotypical obstructionist. I won’t hold my breath.

I think we need to go a little further than this. I believe we should also ban and confiscate all semi-automatic weapons. Since these weapons have evolved into military looking and now with a little accessory performing like a machine gun, we need to end legal ownership of semi-automatics. We still can have our revolvers, rifles, and shotguns, but it is too big of a price to pay in the year 2017 to allow semi-automatics.

The in America has gone too far down a dark and deadly road. I am the voice of a pro-Second Amendment gun advocate that is demanding guns owners who feel like me start to make their voices heard. It is the gun community here in America that must take back the narrative from the gun nuts.
