The nonprofit Southern California Mountains Foundation opens its 12th season of Music in the Mountains on Saturday with two-time crowned “World’s Greatest Tribute Band” featuring Kenny Metcalf as ‘Elton,’ A Tribute to Elton John.

Opening for Kenny Metcalf is artist Mia Karter and The Winehouse Experience, a tribute to the late Amy Winehouse. The show is held at the outdoor Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater, at 40971 North Shore Drive/Highway 38 in Fawnskin.

“We’re preparing for one of our best seasons yet packed with 12 of the best tribute classic rock and country bands for six Saturday concerts under the stars this summer at the Discovery Center,” Stacy Gorin, Southern California Mountains executive officer, in a news release.

“New sponsors and concession partners are joining us in building a community committed to raising funds through the power of music to benefit our year-round conservation and environmental education programs,” Gorin said.

Music in the Mountains is presented by Big Bear Vacations.
