Your editorial “Tax Revenge in Kansas” (June 10) says the primary reason Kansas elected more moderate legislators last November was because of the efforts of the teachers union. It’s true the teachers union opposed Gov. Sam Brownback’s policies, but the idea that it has a significant influence on the Kansas electorate is laughable. If that were true, the hyperconservative legislators who cut those taxes would never have been elected in the first place.
