Kendall Jenner may have been at the center of the Pepsi commercial controversy, but you’ll likely never hear her talk about it.
The 21-year-old reality star made her first public appearance this week, at Coachella, since the commercial was released. Despite having several interviews lined up, no one is reportedly allowed to ask about the fiasco, .
If a reporter does ask Jenner about the commercial, he or she will immediately be pulled from the interview and the outlet will be spurned, .
Pepsi’s latest ad featured the young model handing over a can of soda to a police officer standing guard during a protest.
Millions were outraged by the commercial, which seemed to trivialize police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement.
“Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position,” Pepsi said in a statement.

Jenner has and only recently returned to social media to promote her upcoming cover of Harper’s Bazaar 150th Anniversary Issue.
The magazine cover tweet led to further hate from people still angry over the ad.
“soooooooo NOTHING about your tone deaf, offensive, pathetic “acting” job with @pepsi !? cute,” one user wrote. “Nice to see you heard everyone.”
Another added, “Good for u entitled rich one. Reappropriating resistance & capitalizing on vulnerable communities who fight injustice is disgraceful.”
Sources have said Jenner was devastated by the reaction to the ad, but there is no word yet from the Kardashian-Jenner family about why she signed on for the gig.
